Dre Splits From Monster Cable Products

According to Business Week, Beats, which held a 53 percent stake of the $1 billion annual headphone market in 2011, has decided to terminate its partnership with the electronics brand. While each company says that there is no animosity, the publication reports that there was ill will over financial terms, “with divergent views on which side deserves the most credit for the line’s success and Beats balking at its share of the revenue.” |

Nas Failed To Attend Angola Concert

Allocco, who serves as CEO for AllGood Entertainment, and his son were kidnapped at gunpoint by employees of local “concert impresario” Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel, who had supplied money for the show. Allocco had paid Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai $315,000 to perform two shows but both artists failed to get on flights to Angola. |
Snoop Dogg Arrested For Marijuana Possession

The Doggfather’s tour bus was stopped by border patrol at a checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, the same location where Willie Nelson was arrested for weed in 2010. Agents discovered a prescription bottle with several marijuana joints inside of it totaling under a half-ounce of weed. Snoop said that the weed was his and had a prescription for it, but Texas has a zero tolerance policy for weed regardless of his status in other states. |

The songwriter Max Gregory Warren of Sharon, PA filed a suit against the Pittsburgh rapper for allegedly stealing the concept for "Black and Yellow" from his copyrighted '07 track "Pink N Yellow." |
