Cory Gunz will face three and a half years in prison if found guilty for gun possession. Veteran Bronx MC Peter Gunz confirmed to MTV News early Sunday (January 29) that his son, rapper Cory Gunz, was arrested for gun possession in the Bronx, New York, on Saturday afternoon. “The details are still sketchy, but I can confirm that he was arrested with a firearm yesterday in the Bronx,” Gunz told MTV News. “They caught him around 2p.m. in the afternoon with a loaded gun in his knapsack. “It was definitely an illegal search,” Peter added...

Bow Wow Reportedly Owes Back Taxes

In November, it was reported that Bow Wow owed over $90,000 in unpaid taxes from 2006. It appears as though Bow Wow is in more trouble with the IRS than originally thought. A new tax lien was filed on January 9 in Georgia, saying Bow Wow owes $15,279.62 for unpaid taxes from 2008 and another $19,700.91 from 2010. In sum, Bow Wow owes $126,086.14. The Young Money rapper joins Nas, Lil Wayne, Swizz Beatz, and many other emcees and producers that have recently come into tax trouble.

After striking success over the past few years, Beats By Dre is splitting from Monster Cable Products when its five-year contract expires at the end of 2012. According to Business Week, Beats, which held a 53 percent stake of the $1 billion annual headphone market in 2011, has decided to terminate its partnership with the electronics brand. Nas Failed To Attend Angola Concert

An American concert promoter named Patrick Allocco says that he and his son were kidnapped after Nas failed to show up at a New Year’s Eve performance in Angola. Allocco, who serves as CEO for AllGood Entertainment, and his son were kidnapped at gunpoint by employees of local “concert impresario” Henrique “Riquhino” Miguel, who had supplied money for the show. Allocco had paid Nas and opening act Jemiah Jai $315,000 to perform two shows but both artists failed to get on flights to Angola.
