Ja Rule’s Prison Sentence Delayed Again Until June.

After it was decided his previous court date would be moved to Wednesday, March 9, 2011, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Richard Carruthers ruled that Ja Rule will not have to report for sentencing until June 8. Ja—real name Jeffrey Atkins—was sentenced to two years for weapons possession stemming from a 2007 incident. According to Ja’s attorney, Stacey Richman, a few personal matters need to be handled before going behind bars.

In February, critically acclaimed Dancehall artist Buju Banton both won a Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album and was also found guilty of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. Buju—born Mark Myrie—avoided a longer sentence after being videotaped by DEA agents during a 2009 drug transaction. After a hung jury resulted in a mistrial, a different jury found the singer guilty after deliberating for nearly 12 hours.

It's been nearly a month since Brooklyn, New York emcee Lil' Kim began selling her Black Friday mixtape online. Hard copies of the self-released project have reportedly yet to ship, though some consumers are just now receiving their orders of the release Kim initially claimed she sold 113,000 copies of. The tracklisting has thus revealed from the project, thanks to a consumer who posted the pictures, and reportedly includes numerous attacks of Rap rival Nicki Minaj.

The rambunctious rapper is part of the animal rights organization's "Ink, Not Mink" campaign and his anti-fur ad was revealed on Tuesday (March 8). In the brand-new ad, Waka wears nothing but a well-placed set of iced-out chains that includes a jewel-encrusted Fozzie Bear. "Be comfortable in your own skin, and let animals keep theirs," the ad copy reads.

Earlier today Diddy took to the airwaves as he co-hosted Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club with Angela Yee and Charlamagne The God. Diddy spoke on a variety of topics and of course took some time to speak on Notorious B.I.G. on the 14th anniversary of the iconic rappers death.
“It’s a constant thing. When it’s something like that that happens and somebody who is like music you listen to and is just a part of your motivation…It’s something that you relive, but to be honest March 9 for us is a day of celebration it ain’t really like a day of mourning,” Diddy explained.
