Rihanna is happy her music video for the raunchy single “S&M” was banned in 11 countries and restricted online. In a recent interview, the R&B/Pop star says the video is her favorite of all time and that she plans to top it. “I think that the ban worked out because I don’t think people would have been that curious if there wasn’t some controversy involved or connected to it,” Rihanna told Extra during Allstar weekend. “S&M is my favorite video that I ever ever done and I can’t wait to keep making more incredible videos…S&M is going to be a hard one to beat.” And why wouldn’t she? Last week “S&M” jumped from 31-8 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and sold 145,000 downloads. “S&M” is Rihanna’s 18th top 10 single on the Hot 100. Moving from one controversy to another, recently, real estate tycoon Donald Trump voiced his frustrations concerning Rihanna, after she canceled a planned gig hours before she was to appear at his private club Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, for a fund-raiser for the Boston-based Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. “I thought that (Rihanna bailing) was insulting to everyone,” Trump tells Page2Live. “But for Rihanna to go to the (NBA) All-Star game and perform after she told us she was sick, that is just a lack of respect. Grammy and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson filled in for Rihanna last minute and Trump had all great things to say about her. “But, nothing was missed. Jennifer’s a beautiful girl,” says Trump. “She came on her day off even though she performs almost every night. She is an unbelievable talent, and her voice is better.” |
