CONFIRMED: Beyonce to Headline Largest Outside Festival.

R&B superstar Beyonce has confirmed her headlining gig at England’s Glastonbury Festival this summer. The five-day festival will play to an expected audience of 200,000, on Worthy Farm, Pilton in South West England at the end of June. Beyonce, who was previously said to be the headliner on Saturday, will actually close out the festival on Sunday, June 26 with a 90-minute set.

“This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there. Everyone who attends is really appreciative of music and is in such a good mood that entire weekend,” she said. “I’m pumped just thinking about that huge audience and soaking up their energy.”

Beyonce, who is currently in the studio working on new music, attended Glastonbury Festival in 2008 to support her husband Jay-Z, so more than likely we will see Mr. Carter come out to support his wife.

In related news, Beyonce has been nominated for two Grammy awards, including Best Pop Female Vocal Performance (“Halo” (Live)) and Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals (“Telephone” with Lady Gaga.)
