Nick Cannon confirmed that his wife, Mariah Carey, was having twins back in December, and now, it has been revealed that the couple are expecting one boy and one girl. In the forthcoming issue of Life & Style magazine, the songstress shares the big news, gushing about her impending motherhood. “Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything gender-neutral, because I didn’t want to impose an identity on them too soon,” Mariah laughingly told the mag. “There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls — but nobody guessed this!” Friends couldn’t be happier for the duo, including one who tells Life & Style: “It’s all about pink and blue these days. It’s truly going to be a dream come true for them. They get a son and daughter.” The magazine reports that the couple’s twin babies are expected sometime in April. Despite trying to keep details about the pregnancy as private as possible, Cannon admitted in December that the couple were expecting twins. He explained that the pop powerhouse let the news slip during a conversation with the president and first lady backstage at TNT’s “Christmas in Washington 2010.” Just because she’s a mother-to-be, Carey still plans to get some work done. Fans can check out Mimi at midnight on February 11, when the big-voiced diva will broadcast live from her home in Los Angeles on HSN. During the broadcast, Carey will unveil her latest collection of jewelry, shoes and fragrances. Send your well-wishes to Mariah and Nick in the comments! |
