Coolio Arrested For Traffic Violations and Locked Rapper Coolio, real name Artis Leon Ivey Jr., is seen in a booking photo March 9, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Coolio was arrested for two outstanding misdemeanor warrants for traffic violations after the car he was riding in was pulled over during a routine traffic stop. It’s the same place that his son Grtis is incarcerated for allegedly robbing someone at gunpoint. Coolio’s bail has been set at $5,850 and court date has not yet been set. Coolio’s oldest son, 22 , – who appeared on the family reality show Coolio’s Rules – was arrested on November 14, 2011 for allegedly busting into a Vegas apartment with a gun and forcing the tenant into the bathroom. Then he and a female prostitute named Shantrice Wilkerson, again allegedly, ransacked the place. He claims he didn’t know she was a call girl and that she told him she had a ‘dream’ of having sex on a pile of money. Hall asked if $5,000 was adequate, she agreed and the two went back to Hall’s apartment to get the cash out of a safe. But Wilkerson asked for the money too soon and Hall became suspicious and asked the girl to leave. However, Wilkerson remembered where Hall lived and brought Grtis to the place three days later so they could rob it. According to the report , Grtis entered with a gun and ordered Hall’s rooommate into the bathroom while he and Wilkerson stole a safe, two iPads, two laptops, passports and anything else they could carry. The roommate was able to identify Coolio’s son and Wilkerson, according to police, and both were arrested on a slew of charges including robbery with a deadly weapon, first degree kidnapping and grand larceny. Both Grtis and Wilkerson told police they never brought a gun to the apartment but Wilkerson admitted to stealing some of the stuff. Grtis is being held without bail.
