The West Coast spitter Game explains that his kids are finally realizing that their dad is a rapper.
Compton, California’s Game ended up having his latest video for “Red Nation” banned from BET and MTV, but the former G-Unit affiliate is pleased with the results. After premiering the clip on YouTube and across digital platforms, Game is getting the last laugh.
“They said that they had kid viewers and it was too gang-affiliated,” he told George Lopez on Lopez Tonight. “But I understand. I got kids so I didn’t argue and I said cool, and we went straight to YouTube and now, we’ve got almost four million views.”
While talking to the host, Game also talked about his young children, explaining that his oldest son Harlem is starting to realize that his dad is a famous rapper. “My oldest son, he just figured it out maybe three weeks ago,” he continued. “My oldest son Harlem’s about to be eight, and so he’s at school and he comes home and he’s like, ‘Dad, are you The Game?’ and I’m like ‘Uh, yeah.’ He’s like, ‘You’re a singer?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, sort of.’ He’s like, ‘Like the Jonas Brothers?’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, sort of.’”
As for his younger son Justice, he’s already aware of who his father is. “But my youngest son, Justice, he’s got it all figured out. He’s like a mini-me,” he said, though he’s not exactly a hip-hop head just yet. “He’s a big Justin Bieber fan. What kid isn’t? But we call him Justice Bieber.”
Game’s oft-delayed R.E.D. Album is slated to hit stores on August 23rd.
